Video demonstrations for Celtic and classical harp
I've been teaching, performing and composing for Celtic and classical harp for most of my life. In that time I've had the opportunity to learn countless pieces from all genres of music. This series of videos strives to aid the process of deciding what to learn while offering renditions that lift the music from the page.

The Bells of Point Pleasant:The Bells of Point Pleasant refers to Point Pleasant Pennsylvania where I stayed in a friend's historical house. The year was about 1986. This piece is joyful and perfect for weddings and celebrations. The sheet music and optional flute part is available here:
Planxty Alan: Planxty is a word meaning and Ode to...hence this is named for my friend Alan. The sheet music pdf is available at: https://www.harpcenter.com/product/shawna-selline-harp-flute-PDF/
The Manx Tune:This piece is based on a traditional song from the Isle of Man. The middle section was written in an attic room of a B&B on the island. There was a storm with pounding rain, and lightening visible through a skylight. The pdf sheet music is available https://www.harpcenter.com/product/shawna-selline-harp-flute-PDF/This piece is part of a video archive of repertoire for the Celtic harp shawnaselline.com/repertoire.
